Hole19: Golf GPS Range Finder App Reviews

I am wondering if there is a way to reset my scores from last season. I am near capacity on my phone and by erasing my old scores will help to free up some space. Thank you.

Any app that ask I share my location even when Im NOT using the app gets immediately deleted. When I choose to use the app then you can have my location. If not then theres no reason for you to have my location. Please inform me how to have email my addresses removed from your database as I also no longer give you permission to retain my email address.

Very good golf gps app. Really like that you can use it without data. Uses phone antenna for location.

Very good app and the service is just first class. I ask for mapping a new course and in no time it is available in my phone

This is a wonderful app. Love everything(almost) about it. App on the Apple Watch is very nice. App is very simple and accurate. But I had to stop using this app. The map view was very annoying. I contacted the customer service. And the guy I talked to was very nice and quick to respond my emails. But is just the way the app was designed and will probably stay that way for a while. The map view is only clear around the greens. Map view is very blurry except the green. And according to customer service, this is to save battery. But I use two other apps and they both have very clear maps and no issue on battery life (both iPhone and Apple Watch) please bring back the high resolution map and I will come back.

Its hard to set up and clumsy to use. Every time you put in a score on your watch and continue playing, it shuts off and you have to boot it up again on your watch. Very clumsy.

Tried this today and GPS not updating, also it would go to the previous hole and lose my score. Hard to go from one hole to another.

Loved this app until the last upgrade. Now it has all this "sharing" junk that I am not interested in. It is more difficult to navigate, does not work on the course as well, and freezes up occasionally. You can review your scores on the previous round, but if you discover a score entered incorrectly, I cant find a way to correct it. I hope it gets fixed soon because I Really liked it before.

Before the update I really liked it! Now Im starting to look at other apps. I dont care about sharing with friends at all. The good part is its simple and has good simple feedback on results and stats. I wish it would show you the club you should hit based on your distance. Maybe even a notes section thats easy to get to.

Still problematic. Watch screen freezes every hole. Only way to make it work, for a shot or two, is to access the phone. After that the watch screen freezes again. Time to downgrade again.

I use Hole19 because it is amazingly convenient to take a quick look at my watch and get the yardage to the front middle and back of the green. Yes, it was broke for a while with the various iOS 9 updates but I used this morning with the latest update 3.0.3 and everything worked very well. Yardage was quick and accurate on my Apple Watch even through interruptions from texts and notifications. Thanks for the update!

This an update to the review below. I installed the new update and have been amazingly pleased by the results. I actually questioned whether or not this app would ever be any good, but I must say, it is a delight to use now. The interesting thing that I have found is, while I believe it is using the GPS of the iPhone, the accuracy is greater than using a dedicated golf GPS. Would be a wonderful app if it worked. Cant quite understand why they would release it. Cant advance from one hole to the next. Looses distance measures and just shows the length of the hole, not how far the hole is from where you are.

My watch doesnt update distance unless I open my phone and access the app. There is no point in the watch if i have to do that. You should have built off the original success you had. There was no need to immediately try to change your business plan. You now have bad reviews and lost a ton of users.

Ive used the app a few times since the latest update and after I re-installed the app. Happy to say the app and Apple Watch app seem to be much more stable. However it still hasnt returned to the same stability it had before the 3.0 update. It still is laggy in the app and occasionally the Apple Watch app still freezes up/doesnt update distances. Overall though this update is much more stable, but still not nearly as good as it once was.

It will not stop asking me to log into Facebook. Unusable now! Fix this.

Great app! And excellent customer service. I had a small course near me that was not on their list, and they immediately start working on it and had it loaded within a week or so. Ive had none of the functioning issues mentioned in previous reviews. The ability to use the GPS for knowing your exact distance to the pin as well as the statistics of your shots is very useful. I couldve sworn I was slicing a lot more than I actually was. Just get it!

This used to be a good app, then they updated it and it doesnt work. Why the developers dont revert back to a version that was functional is beyond me. Keep looking if you want an app that works.

Was a great app until the update that brought social features. If I want to share a round, Ill do so on one of the many social networks Im already on. The app is now cluttered with useless features that Im sure nobody wanted - wish I could downgrade to an older version.

Just added this app yesterday, not I will delete it. App crashes when I try to add a friend or picture.
