Hole19

This app is perfect. Simple and easy to use. Gives you just what you need on and off the course. Yardages given are great.

Great App!

Downloaded this app to replace a lost handheld gps device, the app is intuitive, slick, and easy to use. Have played a couple of rounds with it so far, its easy on the battery and will stay in the bag for a while. Would definitely recommend this app!!

Much Improved!

Much better in the recent versions. A good rival to FunGolf now.

Great app overall

Great app and was wondering If you can also add Georgian Bay Club, Ontario, Canada please and thx

Hole19

Great app, love that it is available on Apple watch

Disappointed

Purchased based on the fact it had Apple Watch functionality. Was great on the course and allows you to enter your score. The failing in this app is that the score when finished the round does not transfer to the iPhone. So what is the point of entering your score on the watch if it does not transfer the data?

Great app

Fantastic shot-by-shot GPS tracking. Took a little while to figure out how the scoring was tracked in the shot-by-shot mode, but the usefulness of finding yardage and viewing each hole more than made up for it. Please in the next update, change the location services from running ALL the time to run only when the app is in use.

Great Golf App!!!!

Very happy with this golf app. Its easy to use and accurate.

Great app

The app works great for shot tracking and course management, and the support team did a good job updating outdated course imaging in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Love it!

Great app, works good, easy to use, accurate and fun to keep track of stats. Great for golfers of any skill level!!

Not ready for prime time

A dated reference. Nonetheless this app has a way to go. In company with the iPhone 6, and the vastly overrated Applewatch, it is not capable of matching dedicated on-your-wrist devices. If one uses just the iPhone, be ready to haul it out with each tee-off to tell it which hole youre playing, and this after inputting your score. For the true geek, you can stand there and zero in on each shot to calculate your shot distance, with the phone. Forget about hazard distances, except by marking them manually (on the phone, not the watch.) The watch displays distance to the green; front, centre, & back. Period. It does give these distances from wherever you happen to be, fairway or parking lot, and this is handy. But so are the little color-coded posts in the middle of the fairway and the very helpful numbers on the sprinkler heads. You cant enter your score with the watch, or anything else for that matter. Around the 14th hole, the phone runs out of juice, and youre left with a watch, and no phone. Only then can you join in on the clever discourse with your sneering golf buddies that you completely missed out on during the preceding 14 holes when you were busily entering data. The phone app is ok; I think this is fundamentally a hardware problem. Im going to splurge on a wrist-worn GPS unit, like a Garmin S6 or Bushnell Neo. My watch is for sale. My phone is not.

Intuitive

Its pretty good. Must try at least once.

Great App

A lot of free apps are total garbage but not this one. A bit of an effort to register and what not so if you downloaded on a golf course in the middle of the round it takes a few holes to fill in the stuff and get it going. Once its going though for your course it works great. No muss no fuss. If you dont enter scorches though you have to manually advance the hole. It would be nice if you could set it to automatic advance . It may have this feature but I havent looked to hard as of yet. The other that would be nice would be if you could link it to your GaO account and have file your scores for you. It might do that to but again I havent fully explored the app yet. I am just pumped on how well it works for yardage. Cant recommend it highly enough.

great

Great App; Great Price

Youve ruined a perfectly good app. Dont like all this sharing stuff youve added. You had a really clean app. Its really messy now with no useful additional functions. Really disappointing!

Great app where there is good cell coverage

As long as there is good cell coverage the app responds well and gives accurate yardages. I was playing a mountain course recently where the coverage was not great and the app didnt work properly. To the developers, can you add in satellite coverage for the app as well? That would make this ideal.

New, not better

I originally went with Hole19 because it was a simple app that did what I needed well (scoring and distances). Functionality remains the same, but the new "social" aspect is not of interest, and I find makes the app feel more "cluttery". Will stick with this for now, but may give one of the competitors another try.

Good App gone bad...

It is hard to complain when the app is free. While there were a number of changes I could suggest it would be all for not now because after the OS2 upgrade the range portion of the app stopped working all together. It does show the hole but the yardage measurement does not change. So until or if, they get that fixed there is not really much to say about the other features if it doesnt give you your yardage. The other features dont matter without the yardage.

Best golf apps ever

I pay for to much for another golf apps, but this one really does what I expect and want. Thank you Hole19. Was long to wait but I appreciate more now.

What is the point of this app?

I was not able to use it to keep score. My golf course was listed, and I could start a round. Also, it showed my name as a player automatically, and I was easily able to add a second player (who was there with me). I WAS NOT ABLE TO EVEN REMOTELY USE IT TO TRACK MY SCORE!! It only let me do it for my friend!! I am an avid adopter of technology and gadgets, and a active computer programmer for PC, web, Windows, Mac and iPhones/iPads. Yet after 5-6 consecutive tries, there was no way to enter my score that I could find, and was VERY FRUSTRATING!! I then assumed maybe it scored me automatically because I had the Hole 19 open on my Apple Watch (although absurd because how could it know practise swing etc from a real one, or even if I miss the ball, but maybe some algorithm takes care of it), but at the end my score was "0" all the way down!! Pointless, useless app, as it only can show map of course (so does google maps), and tell me info about each hole (which the score card already on the cart steering wheel shows).
